1970 – General Systems Group was founded with the establishment of General Systems Company (GSC). GCS began its activities with management consultancy, computer application development and software engineering.

1971- GSC training center for information technology and management training was established. Over 3500 technicians and managers were trained in different fields including management techniques, computer skills, warehousing, material management, transport, cataloguing, and large logistical systems.

1975- GSC, already a leading company in computer and management consultancy and training, entered into exclusive affiliation with the National Computing Center (NCC) of United Kingdom. The largest computer technical library in the Middle East was developed and conducted in collaboration with NCC.

1978- GSC, with a staff of over 600 (including about 150 American and European professionals), together with its subsidiaries in Europe and USA, stood among the top six companies of its kind outside the USA; handling very large scale of diversified projects in computer system development from logistics and material management to manufacturing, financial systems and project management.

1979- During 1979-1982, GSC experienced dormancy in its operation due to revolution.

1985- Iran Data Systems, a General Systems Group subsidiary was established to provide IT consulting and application software solutions / services.

1986- From 1982 GSC activities resumed gaining momentum. In 1986 a cooperation agreement was signed with Siemens AG – Data Systems Division. The agreement gives GSC exclusive rights for marketing and sales of all Siemens IT and computer products in Iran as well as non-exclusive rights for marketing and sales of after sales services.

1987- Iran Data Systems (IDS), was mobilized to serve as operational arm of GSC, to support the cooperation agreement with Siemens AG.

1989- GSC initiated diversification and internationalization of its activities and operations into other industries and trades.

1990- The cooperation agreement with Siemens was transferred to Siemens-Nixdorf & Siemens Business Services (SBS) and in 1999 was transferred to Fujitsu-Siemens Computers (FSC), and as of April 2009 to Fujitsu Technology Solutions (FTS).

1991- Another GSC subsidiary company, Gener.X, was established to preserve and maintain GSC’s share of PC and networking market, enjoying the partnership/distribution agreements with Novell/Microdyne, Intel PC. Gener.X also signed a partnership agreement with Microsoft as MS sole distributer.

1992- An agreement was signed with Microsoft for localization and Farsification of Microsoft products (Windows and Works), which was carried out in Seattle, USA. These were the first and only original Microsoft localized Farsi products for Iran.

1995- The group expanded its activities into CIS countries, namely Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Armenia in trade and financial sectors.

1996- To expand its activities in IT in the Middle East and support the operations in Iran, GSC International FZ LLC was established in Jebel Ali Free Zone and Primatek LLC as a genral trading company in Dubai.

1998- Gerer.X signed the distributor partnership with D-Link of Taiwan.

2000- GSC International and Primatek in Dubai and IDS in Iran signed service and sales partnership agreement with Fujitsu- Siemens Computes (FSC) of Germany for cooperation in the Middle East and Iran.

2001- An agreement was signed between GSC International and CommerceOne Middle East (CIME), to represent CIME as reseller and technical support service provider for E-commerce clients. GSC International was moved into Dubai Internet City to utilize the IT community and infrastructure facilities therein.

2004- NichLan was established for marketing, sales and support of a wide range of Fujitsu- Siemens (FSC) products.

2009- General Systems Group became DAIKIN Europe N.V official supplier of DAIKIN HVAC products and supply of after sales support services in Iran market.
